5 Stars Nerf & Strike!
This game is great fun. I play with my 9 year old son and we both have a great time!

3 Stars Looked like fun..
You can only play for so long cause your arm gets tired.. not as easy or fun as duck hunt, maybe if you had a large screen tv, but on my 32 inch things are still kind of small so you have to really be direct on the targer and hold your arm steady

5 Stars Way Too Addictive!
I bought the Wii for the exercise but saw this game for cheap. It’s great and addictive. The sound is pounding if you are connected to a hi fi sound system. A must have for diversion and you will be hooked. Not just for kids either - I’m over 50.

Enjoy!

5 Stars Fun Game
Great Game! I really enjoy watching my son play this game. I really don’t care for many game using guns for children but this is a neat game.

4 Stars Shooting Fun!
The premise of this game is to go through different kinds of shooting games and beat the top score of your “competitor” to reach the next level. At each level you do the same thing again, except that it gets harder and harder, and the one new thing that happens is that you “unlock” new nerf weapons along the way.

On the whole, it’s a lot of fun to shoot at the targets (which are all robots), and as far as shooting games are concerned, it’s as family-oriented as it gets. You can play to increase your character level or play in competition against other players to see who can get a better score.

While my kids really like this game (as do I), it’s the type of game where you play it a lot for a while, but then have put it down in favor of something else for a while. Then, once the repetitiveness doesn’t have you turned off anymore, you’re ready to play it non-stop again for several days or maybe weeks. In the long run, you never really get tired of it.

DeBlob

DeBlob

Don’t know about art but you know what you like? Whether you are a master of the brush or a finger painting fool, just say no way to gray and join with de Blob and his pals as they launch a color revolution on the Nintendo Wii gaming console. A mischievous and unlikely hero, only de Blob can flip, bounce and smash his way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to ignite a revolution and save Chroma City from a future without color.

Battle against massive tank battalions, speedy I.N.K.T. racers and elite Inky soldiers on your quest to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and inky turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable I.N.K.T. Fortress. Just remember that the struggle to reclaim Chroma City is to be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your own image using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to refine your skills while making a mess. The race to rescue Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.

Gameplay: de Blob’s Primary Goal
de Blob is a 3D platformer where players use the Wii Remote/Nunchuck combo to maneuver their hero, de Blob. Equal parts amorphous blob of paint, struggling artist, revolutionary and juvenile delinquent, de Blob’s goal is to replace the drab, lifeless gray coloring that the I.N.K.T. Corporation has imposed on Chroma City and its inhabitants, the Raydians, with a range of vibrant life-giving colors, all the while avoiding and battling the gray-clad forces of the Inkies.

Players must acquire paint and hurl de Blob at the buildings, walls, statues, roads and skies above Chroma City. As de Blob bounces around, adding color wherever he lands, his supply of paint is depleted and he begins to dry out. As this happens players must collect more paint and rehydrate in pools and in front of hydrants scattered across the city. As the game starts access is limited to the colors red, blue and yellow, but these can be blended to create a number of other colors. Being able to create and apply these colors becomes important as Chroma City and its inhabitants come to life, and de Blob makes contact with a range of other characters known as the ‘Color Revolutionaries’ and receives an increasing amount of missions that charge him with splattering color all over town. Success at these mission gains the player point which drives the game forward, eventually leading to a direct assault on Comrade Black’s I.N.K.T. fortress guarded by elite Inky soldiers and massive ink turrets.

Key Game Features:

  • de Blob - Flip, bounce and paint your way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to launch a revolution and save Chroma City from a future without vibrant color.
  • Long Live Color! - Join the Color Revolutionaries in the resistance against the evil Comrade Black and his diabolical array of hot plates, electric shocks, and ink turrets.
  • Free the Citizens - Free your friends from a black and white world by dodging ink cannons, flattening I.N.K.T. tanks and outsmarting Inky soldiers.
  • Save your City - Remix Chroma City’s towering skyscrapers, expansive bridges and massive landmarks in your own style using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks.
  • Make a Mess - Super-size your blob as you splash, spray, and splatter everything you touch in sprint, race and combat challenges.
  • Multiplayer - Compete for control as ink levels rise and wind cannons fire in eight multiplayer-specific gameplay modes.

Plenty of Play Modes
de Blob features both a deep story-driven singleplayer mode where players get to dig into the Raydian’s struggle against all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation, as well as a diverse range of multiplayer options. These multiplayer campaigns support up to four players, come with street and sewer maps and include four player split-screen functionality. Just a few of the multiplayer campaigns include:

Paint Match - Paint as many buildings as possible and steal points from opponents by re-painting the buildings that they’ve already covered.

Blob on the Run - A variation of ‘Capture the Flag,’ in this mode only one blob can paint and is pursued by opponents who attempt to slam him into submission and gain the ability to paint and accumulate points themselves.

Blob Race - In this mode buildings can only be painted once and are indicated by in-game arrow. With time limited it’s a race not only to paint the town but also to keep opponents from doing the same.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Not for Adults
I tried to rent this game before buying, but it was always checked out from the stores. I happened to find it on sale and decided to go ahead and buy it.

I wanted to like this game after all of the reviews I read about it that said adults would love it too, but this had to simply be the most unfun game that I have ever played. Maybe kids find some type of enjoyment in this, but this game is definitely NOT for adults.

The concept sounded fun, but “the blob” is difficult to control and difficult to make jump to places you want to paint. After you discover mixing colors and finding new prints to paint the buildings…that’s pretty much all there is to the game. How long can you really paint the same buildings over and over again and have it still be fun or interesting. The save issues make the game less fun to play as well.

I sold my copy to gamestop and got another game after only 2 weeks.

This game is definitely not worth buying for adults, no matter the price.

4 Stars Clever, Clean & Captivating
I purchased this game as a birthday present for my 13 year old son who tires of the blood & guts choices in today’s teen-rated games.

He loves the clever, artistic graphics as well as the subtleties of the humor in the game. In short, he loves playing de Blob.

There’s a lot of garbage games out there & this is a creative, fun alternative to that garbage.

4 Stars Colorful, or not!
DeBlob is a fun game for everyone. I think my three year old grandson will even like it.

Great music and piture quality

5 Stars DeBlob Excellent Gameplay For The Family.
DeBlob is a Great multi/single player that the whole family will enjoy. It is well designed for pure enjoyment of all ages; it’s definitely worth the 30-buck price, unlike those other games that disappoint this one doesn’t. The story to the game is that you the DeBlob are a part of world that was taken over by organizion that dislikes color and drains it from the city. So you the DeBlob are the savior or hero, that with the help of a few rebels fight to help restore the city to its multicolored splendor. But you DeBlob are the main guy and your job is to paint everything that is black and gray in the city and make it come to life. Oh Hint: collect the clocks, you get for extra time, there is a time limit to complete you’re tasks. But no need to worry this is a tension free game, it reminds of games like sonic the hedgehog, because you can jump and get on top of things. I’d give this game a higher score than five stars, because even an old school gamer like myself could enjoy this game and the music is not annoying, it’s very calm and peaceful. plus the game doesn’t take it’s self too seriously they’re a bit of humor in it. You’ll get plenty of great gameplay out of it. Hint: There are mini challenges within the game for extra points, be sure to follow the instructions and encouragement of rebel color people helping you, they’re quite helpful.

P.S. You use your remote and nunchuks in this game a lot. It’s a pretty straightforward game there aren’t really any rules, you can paint the town literally. That part of the fun let your imagination run wild have fun.

Highly Recommended

5 Stars Revolutionary Fun! The Sweet Legacy of Jet Grind Radio
If you liked Jet Grind Radio, you’ll love de Blob, probably the most underrated game for Wii.

The cutscenes that introduce the story and introduce each stage of the game are Pixar-quality. The colorless & militaristic Inkt corporation has invaded the colorful, music-loving land of the Raydians and trapped them into being melancholy Graydians. By using your power to squish bright color wherever you go, you get recruited to liberate the Graydians and restore the funk and fun.

The controls are a little tricky for those who are unused to 3D video games, but there is a lot of opportunity to practice your jumping skills with free play or retrying levels. Indeed, it takes some practice to understand where stuff is, or how stuff works. It’s fun even in repetition, though, as your painting moves subtly adjust the funky soundtracks, and you unlock more side quests, challenges, awards, music, and party games. The camera settings can also be adjusted, if you like. It’s a deep game with casual appeal: I would consider it a must buy.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good change of pace!
After installing the game on my PC, I experienced some issues with crashes and other issues perhaps due to my video card not being the newest up to date version; however I did manage to complete all the missions (solo). The graphics are superb, and I really enjoyed the war being taken to the Pacific Theater. One other thing, when I start the game, 3-4 minutes elapse before the menu appears (black screen)…when a mission is completed the screen again turns black and again 3-4 minutes elapse, then a small white narrow band appear at the bottom of the screen with pulsating sounds for about 3-4 seconds, and then the next missions come up. I’m not sure if this is all due to a “faulty” disc, or if it’s the way the game is set up. I wish I knew!!! Anyhow, I recommend the game highly,..if your machine meets the minimum requirements, if it does not…don’t attempt it!!

1 Star Call it a Flop
The game is hard to play and next to impossible to move from level to level. I am well over 13, don’t waste your money.

1 Star You cant be serious
Ok I have played this game on other consoles as well as the PC. The best experiance so far is on the PC.

On the Wii it is a joke. Since the Wee has the worst graphics of any platform games like this just dont hold a candle to the other platforms (PS3, XBox360, PC)

The controllers were non responsive and the graphics slugish at best. and since you are playing at just a little over 640×480 you cant even make out what you are shooting at most of the time.

While I like the Wii for its sport game interaction (The simpler ones) the virtual controllers just dont cut it for a game like this.

5 Stars the graphics sucks but the gameplay is FUN!
I was used to seeing great graphics on the xbox 360 until it got the red ring of death. All we have now is the wii to play with. When i first played COD5 on the wii, my response to the graphics was not a pleasant one. I thought the graphics sucked. The graphics are comparable to COD3 on the original xbox. Now, i can understand what other reviews say about when they say that the COD5 graphics on the wii is great for what the wii can display. The wii has similar graphics power like the original xbox. But aside from the graphics, it is still a great first person shooter game. The campaign is fun, and the multiplayer is FFFFUUUNNN and addicting!!! Now this is the only game I play on the wii. When i got used to the wii controllers, I actually aim better with the wii mote than how i aimed with the 360 controller when I played COD4 on the xbox360. Ill give this game 3 stars for graphics, but 5 stars for gameplay and replayability. So if you only own a wii, get this game if you like first person shooters. buy it with confidence.

5 Stars Superb game, true to the series
I bought Call of Duty World at War when it come out, and I must say I was very surprised at how good a job Treyarch had done. I really despised their previous efforts, which weren’t anywhere near as good as Infinity Ward’s - but that is no longer the case.

Call of Duty World at War is extremely innovative. Your using the same engine as Call of Duty 4, so the graphics and feel are superb - but combine this with some of their addons, which makes this game quite unique. How many games do you get chased down by a pack of dogs in multiplayer? Sounds bad doesn’t it? Sounds like it wouldn’t work very well - well it works brilliantly. The guns are great and there are a good mix of snipers, SMG’s, shotguns, MG’s and rifles. The perks are also very interesting.

I love this game, as much as I did Call of Duty 4 - the only downside is some people haven’t bother to try it out, as a result I often found myself playing on my own on Xbox Live - as some of my friends were still playing Call of Duty 4.

If you had difficulty mastering the multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty 4, I recommend you read the book I have written “An Unofficial Guide to Call of Duty World at War: How to Win at Multiplayer” - I’d also check out the Bradygames guide, well worth getting if you like all the information to do with weapons/perks at your fingertips.

Overall 5/5 :)

Go out and buy it!

5 Stars Lots of fun!!
This is a great game for keeping the kids moving. My 10 year old daughter is enjoying it very much. I cant wait to start trying it myself.

5 Stars One of the best Wii games to date!
This game is great because you can set it up for one player and just hand off the wiimotes after each song (if you only have 2 wiimotes). Plus it gives you a little break in between because this game really is a workout. Once you get the hang of it, it’s much easier, but you still get a great arm workout. I know many grown men who love to play this game just as much as I do. I don’t think this game is just for the younger crowd. As a matter of fact, I think it’s easily all ages and even a family game. Very similar to Dance Dance Revolution in that you follow along to the steps, but with your arms. You can plug in the game and play as much or as little one song or for hours. And, somehow changing the outfits is fun too.

This game is a must-have for any Wii owner.

2 Stars not to much fun
I purchesed this game because I heard it was a good workout even if you had never been a cheerleader (or the cheerleader type- which would be me). I tried hard to get it down and use it as a workout, but even on the easy level I couldn’t follow along and couldn’t get a workout. I’ll stick to jogging and my personal trainer game.

4 Stars Dance Dance Revolution for your arms
Once you pop this disk into your Wii, you’ll get a glimpse of your console’s potential to make waving your arms around something FUN. Wii need more games like this!

Dance Dance Revolution involved hitting buttons on the floor (and Rock Band puts those buttons on a guitar or drum set). This game is different in that you trace motions with your arms on the rhythm. As a result, it’s a lot harder — instead of just hitting buttons on the beat, you also have to have some accuracy in tracing the right motions.

It’s very deeply satisfying to move your arms around and hear the crowd cheer, but be prepared for some frustration, both because some of the notations are hard to read (arcing your arm backwards above your head is one of the more difficult to figure out) and also because the Wiimote just isn’t sensitive enough to catch the difference between several of the moves. You’ll lose points in many cases not because you screw up, but because the Wiimote just doesn’t register properly. Or at least, that’s what I think is happening — the game could really use a practice mode that shows you what it thinks you’re doing so you can correct yourself.

But if you’re not a point hog and in it to play, you’ll probably pass most of the songs on easy mode after a few tries. As others have suggested, watch the cheerleaders to catch your cue. Most of the time, if you copy your character, you’ll do OK.

It’d be nice if you were actually controlling one the dancers, so that if you mess up, the dancer also messes up. Otherwise, it feels a bit like you’re just playing along at home.

Similarly, the entire outfit/rewards system was clearly implemented at the last minute and is broken. You get all the outfits right away, so the game wastes a lot of time with “presents” that are things you already have.

Speaking of wasting time, there’s an awful lot of unnecessary clicking to get through various story screens and finally get cheering. This is a problem common to many Wii games, which seem to be over-lawyered with warnings about smashing your lamp or whatever, but it’s particularly bad in this game because of the very uncompelling stories (lame dudes asking you to cheer for them so they can win whatever stupid competition they are engaged with… which isn’t what most cheerleaders do anymore — didn’t the developers watch “Bring it on”?)

(And for video game enthusiasts, you might be interested to know that this game is an Americanized reskin of “Happy Dance Collection,” which was released in Japan).

5 Stars Great game!
“This game is really fun, I bought it for my 11 and 6 year old daughters, and I have played it more than they have so far. My husband however is not about to test his manhood out on this game though!! In other words, this game is a “girly” game.”

5 Stars Neverending fun!!
I originally bought this game for my husband and son to play together (my husband and I are both from the era of the last 3 movies). The whole family (except my 18 month old) has been addicted to it ever since, including myself! You can have three different games saved at the same time and each level has different stages to complete within it so that you can go back again and again. My son is 7 and LOVES to play it; he and his friends talk about it every day at school. It is not very violent (meaning blood and gore) and even has some funny parts. My 7 year old has a little trouble getting through some parts of the levels and needs some help, but can make it through most levels on his own. I had read some reviews before I bought it and one said if you only play for 40-50 hours, you aren’t exploring enough. I thought that was ridiculous at the time, but we have definitely logged well over 50 hours and there is still tons more to do! This is definitely the family favorite and we haven’t played any other game since we bought it. It does have some moves you can do with your Wii remote that simulate the light saber, but to be honest we don’t use that feature very often and still love the game! Highly recommend! Excellent value for the money paid.

3 Stars I think I just don’t get video games like this….
I think I just don’t get video games like this. It was not clear what I was trying to do, other than not die (which you don’t seem to be able to do; die, that is). I felt like a rat in a maze. Now, I don’t play video games much, and when I have it has been the same type of “solve the problem” situation, which is a combination of wanting to solve it and extreme boredom. The Wii was my first console, and I really enjoy the Wii Fit games for their fun and involvement.

What I really want is the old Star Wars game from the 1980s where you fly an X-Wing and destroy the Death Star. I like action. Star Wars Clone Wars offered that, as it was all light saber duels and lots of fun.

All of that said, the Lego concept is awesome. Watching the droid I accidentally sliced hop around, bits of Lego pieces falling about, and the like is just plain fun. It did not feel at all violent. Had there been some sort of plot, point, or something to do other than grasp about in the dark it could have been great.

If there is a Lego Star Wars game that lets me fly an X-Wing, let me know.

5 Stars Love the Lego games
The Lego games are similar in the things you need to do, but the story lines are all different. They are such a blast to play!

5 Stars Great for boys
I’m going to give this 5 stars based on how much my son enjoys it. He loves all things Star Wars, and asks to play this game 24/7. It’s become his threat (if you don’t comply, no Star Wars lego today) and his reward. He would sit and play this all the time if I let him, and when he’s not playing, he talks about it. I do limit him to 30 minutes a day, but that is enough time to play and get some plot in. He loves changing characters as he’s playing and mixing up the characters from the different movies to play together. You do kill things with weapons, but there’s no blood and guts, the legos just disassemble, so it is kid appropriate there, but it is a little violent in that you shoot at things to kill them. Two player is cool and the second player can come in and out. Would recommend for any Star Wars fan.

5 Stars Consider yourself in LEGO heaven!
I couldn’t wait to get this game. It has all the features that the PC game version offers. This one is just more exciting since you can play it on the big screen and feel that you are more involved in the action. A must-have for all Star Wars fans!
