2 Stars Fun but not for long
This game is good to start with, but if you enjoy playing by yourself and want to go through the tournament, it is dissapointing. There is no randomness to the games there, it is exactly the same setup every time. combine this with having to replay from the beginning if you lose in a round, and it gets VERY frustrating. For example you play through to round 6 and lose, you have to play through rounds 1-5 all over again, with exactly the same setup each time as you previously faced, very boring, imagine then losing again in round 6…..! Yuck.

Not worth your money, there are better games online for free than this, with more replayability. Try games like at games.asobrain, search for it on Yahoo, much more fun for no money.

1 Star game will not run
Be sure to download the free trial version first to check for compatibility. This game (which I loved to play on my old computer) will not run on my vista machine, even in compatibility mode for XP SP2.

Yet another example of vista sucking the big one.

5 Stars no hassle
always one of my favorite board games and now without the tedious and time consuming set up. and no “accidental” bumps of the board scattering pieces.

1 Star Freezes Up
NO REFUNDS allowed on downloadable software so I am out $10. Played it 3 times and it froze on me in diffrent areas every time. The free demo was more fun to play. I’d purchase the game on a disc before the downloadable content.

5 Stars Great Replayability!
Much better than the first Risk, I wish I had bought this one first! It has the classic Risk like Risk 1, a tournament Risk, and online playability. My biggest complaint is that no one else is ever online though! So buy it and play against me people! I love that they incorporated online gameplay because I get so sick of beating the computer. Risk 1 is way too easy, but Risk 2, on Tournament mode, provides a challenge and variety. Also you can play with up to 8 altogrther (human or computer). I knew I had the right game when I mumbled “I’m sick of losing” to my husband and he replied, “So you don’t like it, huh?” “No, I love it! I hate winning all the time, too!” Which was my problem with the first. So this version has a nice balance and many more challenges, though I will agree with another reviewer that it sucks restarting the whole tournament when you get so far and fail one scenario. I wish I could restart at that scenario and not have to replay from the beginning again! But overall I love it and highly recommend it and hope many more people buy it and get online! Let’s fight for World Domination!

Monster Jam

Monster Jam

Extreme action with the biggest and baddest names in monster-trucks / Compete on 18 indoor and 12 outdoor racing tracks / ESRB RP Rating Pending

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Arcade Racing Fun, but Misses the Feel of Monster Trucks
Monster Jam would have been a better game had it stuck with just being a good arcade-style racer. It has lots of varied tracks, each with lots of interest: destructible elements, wacky stunt jump points, hidden shortcuts, etc. When you’re in a full-field race against other monster trucks, the racing is a lot of fun. You’ll be bouncing off of other trucks, flying through the air, and crashing through every imaginable object (buildings, boats, parked airplanes, and even the space shuttle!) from the initial green light. Computer AI is pretty slow, so you’ll have every opportunity to enjoy your fill of mayhem and then still use some hidden shortcuts to catch back up again. I once won a race flipped upside down riding on the hood of another truck. This amount of unpredictability gives it a decent replay value as an arcade racer; however, it also doesn’t distinguish itself from any of the other titles that do the same (and do it better, e.g. the Burnout series).

So the developers tried to pump up the monster truck feel by adding game modes that mimic actual Monster Jam events (I’m guessing - I swear that I’ve never attended or even seen one of these things!). Unfortunately, this half of the game is where it falls really short. The freestyle events, where you must perform tricks like crushing cars, jumping buses and popping wheelies before an arena audience, are a real chore. The trick is to maximize the judges’ scores by stringing together tricks one right after the other. Easier said than done. And the scores seem very arbitrary - you may think that you did pretty well and then you get a low score but also no real feedback on why. So, you don’t really ever know how to do any better and these events become sticking points in the career championship mode. There is also a one-on-one stadium racing mode where you and another truck race for the best time through an obstacle course on the arena floor. Unfortunately, the course design is atrocious and oftentimes you get lost among all of the barrels, barricades and flags while your flawless opponent zips through. This mode would benefit greatly from an overhead map of the course in the corner of the heads-up, but there is none.

Finally, there is no online multiplayer capability or any Xbox Live support at all. In 2008, this is simply unacceptable for any game.

PROS

* Well-designed race courses with lots of destructible elements and hidden shortcuts

* Easily-reachable achievements if that’s your thing

CONS

* Freestyle and stadium events are the least enjoyable parts of the game

* No online multiplayer or XBL support at all

* Announcer voice acting is annoying after a very short time

4 Stars satisfied
my grandson wanted this toy and he lives in another state. I ordered it on line before and got much satisfaction from the toy - he likes - however his brother broke it, so I ordered it from you again because of the good service in receiving it fairly quickly.

4 Stars Slow in comming
As advertised. Monster Jam shipped pretty slow and I paid extra for `fast’ shipping.

5 Stars Monster Jam Fun for the family
Really Challenging alot more that I thought. Racing in the docks and the hill course’s my son stomps me. Great enjoyment for the family.

Thanks

2 Stars Monster Jam Misses the Mark
I love Monster Jam itself. When Burger King had the promotion for car replicas, I collected them all to put on my desk. I wanted to buy this game at $50, but the reviews were awful, so I waited until the price dropped on Amazon to about $22. After receiving and playing the game, I was very disappointed. While the graphics are good, the game play itself provides very little entertainment. I crashed a few truck, rolled over some cars and did some races. In total I tried for 2 hours to make this game fun, but just couldn’t. It is now sitting on a shelf in the don’t play section and I wish I wouldn’t have spent the $22 for the game, if you want a lower price game with more replay get the Stuntman Ignition game, loads more fun and was able to find it for $10.

Wii Sports

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Wii sports
We’ve been having a lot of fun with this. We ordered it for my younger sister, who has some physical issues, and she loves it! It helps her to exercise, especially during these long winter days indoors. I would definitely recommend this game!

4 Stars Possibly the best Pack-In game since Combat
Wii sports is a great social experience. Best played in a group, each game is distilled to it’s essence (swing bat, clup, racket; roll ball etc) an elixir which you will certainly become addicted. The challenges of accumulating medals in each sport add to the replay factor. A brilliantly conceived game which was certainly designed to familiarize the Wii user with the Wii-mote experience. Hopefully Nintendo will serve up some more elaborate titles which more fully integrate this unique game play interactivity.

3 Stars good game but that’s about all
Got game late it was so scrathed that I had to get it resurfaced and it still only sumtimes works I won’t buy anything from this person agin

5 Stars Great Game
We really like this game. It is user friendly and a lot of fun. It gives me the chance to exercise my upper body as I am handicapped and cannot do a lot on foot. I get a good workout with the games on WII Sports and thoroughly enjoy it. The grandkids do also.

5 Stars Wii Sports
We love to play tennis, bowling, and all the other fun games on Wii Sports. I think it is one of the best games that Nintendo has made.

PlayStation 3 Accessories: The world is changing

May 1st, 2009

The PlayStation 3 is an example of how console gaming has changed over the few years it has been around. It has become a lot more complex at the same time becoming easier to use.

What’s more important, the PlayStation 3 is not limited to being played only by adults. All ages are now becoming involved. This means that the quality in the PlayStation 3 accessories needs to step up to keep up with demand.

80 MB Memory Storage

The best example of the changes and is the advances in storage. The large size of storage and the ability to save characters and levels during the game, increases the enjoyment of every new game that comes on the market.

Logitech Driving Force

A good example of useful PlayStation 3 accessories is the Logitech Driving Force Pro Steering Wheel. The quality of this accessory is that it allows you to use it like a normal car steering wheel, and gives the PlayStation game a more realistic feel and it even lets a gamer experience the game under different road conditions, and weather in the game.

The only thing missing in the wind and car body roll! In some cases, the feel of the steering wheel is very realistic compared to the real thing.

The Sony Network Adaptor

Another useful PlayStation 3 accessory is the Sony Network Adaptor. This Network Adapter connects to the Expansion bay on your Playstaion 3 and provides you with an online connection.

This allows you to play the online gaming areas with others who are also connected. You can select the speed at which you can connect — between a 56k modem, or a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet connection and also add to the replay value of your favorite games by challenging people around the world.

There is always a big accessory market existing that runs with each type of gaming console being sold. This means PlayStation 3 accessories are always being made that will increase the gaming experience even more. More suppliers and increased demand is good for gamers and this lowers prices.

You can also find good PlayStation 3 accessories at visit Eopinions.com and also CNET.com where you will get useful information about the proper PlayStation 3 accessories that make it easier for you to buy the right kind of accessory.

Also new cordless headsets and controllers mean less getting tangled up with wires. This is great for the involvement of the playstation3 as the enjoyment and involvement of the game increases, so do the amount of players.

The main point is that there are many PlayStation 3 accessories, each of which will help you get more enjoyment for your PS3 experience. Among other accessories, wireless controllers are a must as it’s the way of the future.

In some ways console gaming is following the path of TV, but a lot faster. Color TVs originally stated with the wired remote controls, for those who are old enough to remember.

3 Stars wii game
During recent Easter weekend, the games were a hit with the 7-11 year olds. They had great fun playing.

5 Stars Great Game!
I have two teenagers - 14 and 16. I questioned how appropriate and challenging this game would be for this age. Also, I don’t have the Wii Fit and was looking for something different than from what everyone else has, yet of the same quality and challenge. Overall, I’m very pleased. The games do produce a sweat and are advanced enough to give my teenagers a “run for their money!” I had a hard time cooling down myself once I got into some of the games!

The cons are that if you move off the mat too far or press in the wrong place, the game freezes or you have to look down to see where you’re feet should be. Would that detract me from buying the game if I were to do it again - - absolutely not!

I have read some reviews that stated that the mat broke after a short period of time. I hope that doesn’t happen as my girls do pound the mat pretty hard during heated competition. Time will tell.

Overall - a great buy…..I look forward to added challenges.

5 Stars GREAT GAME!
If you are looking for a workout as having fun, this is it! Every time I play this, I am totally out of breath and sweaty. It is awesome that I can get a workout without going to the gym and instead in the privacy of my own family room. Highly recommend this one.

4 Stars Cool /Family Fun!
Awesome interactive game that gets the body moving. Its filled with numerous games that you can do by yourself or with the whole family. Lots of fun!

5 Stars Fun game
This is a fun game. My grandchildren came over one evening and had a blast taking turns playing it. I can even get a good workout when I’m not in the mood to walk on my treadmill.
