1 Star Don’t buy this peice of junk
Ok first of all i’ve never owned a ds, I’VE OWNED TWO OF THEM! AND THEY BOTH BROKE!!!!!!! The Ds is badly designed and is prone to break in a year. My dad told me that because there’s a little hinge and a big hinge the little hinge takes all the weight, so every time you open it it becomes closer to breaking. This is a peice of junk and it should not be purchased! Take my advice and buy the Ds lite, my sister has had one for about 3 years and it’s not even close to breaking. The Ds lite has a brighter light and it’s easier to carry around.

The system had to many straches on the device where it made you mad that you didn’t want to play it. Like it’s been dropped hunderds of times.

HAS IT’S OWN LIGHT INSTEAD OF LIKE OLDER SYSTEMS. GREAT PICTURE AND IS ABLE TO PLAY THE OLDER GAMES PLUS THE NEW ONES. A MUST HAVE OF THE GAMERS OUT THERE.

Wow Nintendo, this was not what I was hoping for. The PSP is SOOOOOOO much better than this piece of junk.

Can you make a better one than the DSL? Can Nintendo bring the DSI to the US? I hope than I would take all I said back. I have a Wii to and it has bad graphics. Dude, guys. If you want a good game console than get a XBOX360 or a PS3 or a PSP.

I always been a 2K baseball series guy in the past, but this version ABSOLUTELY sucks!!! Pitching is WAY difficult. Its near impossible to get more then 1 strike out per game with your pitcher (no matter how hard you try). Hitting homeruns is not the same either. Most of the time you just hit deep pop-flies that the computer always seems to catch. The graphics are GREAT but the game play SUCKS. I should have done a lil research before I bought this game. MLB The Show 09 looks MUCH better!! I would much more recommend that game over this one. Don’t waist your money.

1 Star You’d have to be insane to purchase this
When I used to have a 360, as an avid baseball fan I was forced to buy this crap due to no other options. This is one of the worst sports games ever released (go read my review on the 360 page). The Show just keeps better and winning awards while 2K continues to embarass themselves. PS3 gamers have a choice, picking 2K9 over The Show is like wanting to drive a Pinto instead of a Porsche. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

2 Stars Mailed It In
Boy 2k really mailed it in on this once great game. How hard is it to make a simple game like baseball so complicated? Why do I need to “Lock-In” my pitches? Simple game, aim and throw it. If this keeps up I guess I have no other choice than to buy that awful MLB series. Ewwwwwww!

I think this game is more realistic than MLB the Show because of the unique toggle game controller play. And more importantly a lot of fun. This game is heading in the right direction, I am glad I purchased it, and in just a few years will be ahead of the Show for good.

The 1.02 update fixed all the glitches of MLB 2K9.

Yes the series of video clips of MLB the Show 09 have better graphics. But the online play lags, hitting is outdated, and have you ever noticed foul balls seem to always land in certain spots?

I think this game is a good bargin and deserves better reviews.
