Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures

Your Favorite Hero in Lego Form

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures takes the fun and creative construction of LEGO and combines it with the wits, daring and non-stop action from the original cinematic adventures that enthralled audiences everywhere (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy’s entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run.

Of course, pop culture’s most iconic archaeologist will whip through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the best-selling LEGO Star Wars games.

5 Stars who knew?
You could have so much fun playing Indiana Jones and as a bunch of lego blocks no less. You are able as you progress through the game to pick up and play as other characters in Free Play mode. Which is basically you running through the level again. But having access to characters that you’ve unlocked throughout the game. It’s at least 60 characters that you can unlock and while some are the same character with different customes. It is still very cool to have that option if you so choose.

The game itself is very fun and can be played by just about any age group. I picked it up and finished it a few days later. While the overall length of the game leaves a little bit to be desired. It doesn’t detract at all from the game as a whole. The graphics are pretty solid for a DS game and didn’t encounter any bugs(others may have) or other issues while playing. It is something that anyone looking for a fun and engaging game to play should pick up.

Plus the price at 19.99 is rare in this day and age of video game prices. Lego Indiana Jones warrants an inclusion into your gaming library and once you buy the game. You’ll really enjoy it.

5 Stars Very Fun!
My son (6) is haveing so much fun with this game. It is really cute it follow the story line of the movies.

5 Stars Son loves it.
My son saved his money to buy his own DS, and I agreed to buy two games. This was one of them. This one is a little easier than Legos Star Wars.

5 Stars Great for Autistic children
My girls had the play station version and they loved it. Unfortunately when you have special needs children dvd’s and cd’s do not last long before they become scratched and eventually unusable.

I was going to replace their game when I saw this version, the same game only for the DS which they do have. Less destructible and much more portable. They can take it in the car and their rooms etc without a problem that the play station does not go.

I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. And my girls are thrilled to have the game back and able to play it without scratches.

5 Stars Lego Indiana Jones
Again a game I have trouble with the controls, but it is a fun game. My grandkids play with it more than I do and they get a kick out of it.

5 Stars Neverending fun!!
I originally bought this game for my husband and son to play together (my husband and I are both from the era of the last 3 movies). The whole family (except my 18 month old) has been addicted to it ever since, including myself! You can have three different games saved at the same time and each level has different stages to complete within it so that you can go back again and again. My son is 7 and LOVES to play it; he and his friends talk about it every day at school. It is not very violent (meaning blood and gore) and even has some funny parts. My 7 year old has a little trouble getting through some parts of the levels and needs some help, but can make it through most levels on his own. I had read some reviews before I bought it and one said if you only play for 40-50 hours, you aren’t exploring enough. I thought that was ridiculous at the time, but we have definitely logged well over 50 hours and there is still tons more to do! This is definitely the family favorite and we haven’t played any other game since we bought it. It does have some moves you can do with your Wii remote that simulate the light saber, but to be honest we don’t use that feature very often and still love the game! Highly recommend! Excellent value for the money paid.

3 Stars I think I just don’t get video games like this….
I think I just don’t get video games like this. It was not clear what I was trying to do, other than not die (which you don’t seem to be able to do; die, that is). I felt like a rat in a maze. Now, I don’t play video games much, and when I have it has been the same type of “solve the problem” situation, which is a combination of wanting to solve it and extreme boredom. The Wii was my first console, and I really enjoy the Wii Fit games for their fun and involvement.

What I really want is the old Star Wars game from the 1980s where you fly an X-Wing and destroy the Death Star. I like action. Star Wars Clone Wars offered that, as it was all light saber duels and lots of fun.

All of that said, the Lego concept is awesome. Watching the droid I accidentally sliced hop around, bits of Lego pieces falling about, and the like is just plain fun. It did not feel at all violent. Had there been some sort of plot, point, or something to do other than grasp about in the dark it could have been great.

If there is a Lego Star Wars game that lets me fly an X-Wing, let me know.

5 Stars Love the Lego games
The Lego games are similar in the things you need to do, but the story lines are all different. They are such a blast to play!

5 Stars Great for boys
I’m going to give this 5 stars based on how much my son enjoys it. He loves all things Star Wars, and asks to play this game 24/7. It’s become his threat (if you don’t comply, no Star Wars lego today) and his reward. He would sit and play this all the time if I let him, and when he’s not playing, he talks about it. I do limit him to 30 minutes a day, but that is enough time to play and get some plot in. He loves changing characters as he’s playing and mixing up the characters from the different movies to play together. You do kill things with weapons, but there’s no blood and guts, the legos just disassemble, so it is kid appropriate there, but it is a little violent in that you shoot at things to kill them. Two player is cool and the second player can come in and out. Would recommend for any Star Wars fan.

5 Stars Consider yourself in LEGO heaven!
I couldn’t wait to get this game. It has all the features that the PC game version offers. This one is just more exciting since you can play it on the big screen and feel that you are more involved in the action. A must-have for all Star Wars fans!

5 Stars Incredible bargain
We played both of the original Star Wars games on the PS2. When we put them in the PS3, the graphics were a little low-res compared to Lego Indy and Lego Batman which were all HD quality. At $20, this was a bargain to get all of the graphics up-rezzed. Plus new levels and characters is awesome too.

This is the first game my daughter played when she was 3 years old. She’s now, and we’re still playing it today.

4 Stars Legos and Star Wars
Not much more to say. Legos and Star Wars. And on PS3. WHAT FUN!!

5 Stars Kids LOVE this game
My kids absolutely love this game. It’s overtaken Little Big Planet as their favorite. The downside is there is non-stop violence in the game, however it’s done against Legos so it’s probably as young-child friendly as you could make it in that regard. But if they’ve watched the Star Wars movies or cartoons Lego violence is the least of your concerns. ;) The game takes FOREVER to play through, and has a lot of re-playability via the Free Play where you can choose whatever characters you want to play with. Seriously, this is the single best PS3 game I’ve bought for my kids and has probably saved me $100 as I haven’t had to buy them another game in the past 3 months. Haha.

5 Stars Fun Game
This is one of my favorites - fun and sometimes challenging. The best thing for me is the cooperative play which is hard to find.

5 Stars Overall, the best game we have.
I have children that age from 5 to 15 and they all enjoy playing this game. How great it is to have a game that is so family friendly. There is not gore, bad language, or sexual content. The closest thing to violence is that when you “kill” an enemy, they break up into their individual lego pieces.

It works very well for a quick sit down of for long-term playing. My kids have spent hours playing it to collect all the characters, vehicles, etc. Or, I can sit down and join them for a quick multiplayer game without having had to invest a ton of timing coming up to speed on the game.

I imagine it won’t score super high with older teen boys and men because it doesn’t have the heart-pounding action as in the Teen+ rated games. This is the only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star in fun.

I recommend the game for all families, without reservation.

5 Stars My 8 year old grandaughter loves it. Great birthday gift!
I purchased this for my grandaughter for her 8th birthday. She loves her Wii and really likes this game. Lots of action and adventure!

4 Stars Fun and exiting for kids
My 5 year old loves to play this game. It is not too easy but easy enough to keep his interest. Good game for the money.

5 Stars Great fun for all ages
This game holds true for following the path of all three original movies. The Lego movie scenes are pretty comical. The control for this game is pretty good, you just have to get used to it a little bit. There are plenty of secret items to be found as you play the levels. It gives you the ability to play any character you earned or bought after you complete that level.

My 10 yr nephew also finds the game a lot of fun and we are curerntly competing to see who will beat the game first with the highest completed percentage. Two player function is something I haven’t used just yet but will once I beat the game.

I would highly recommend this game for it’s play & entertainment. You will not finish this game quickly, each level takes an average of an hour to complete and there are a bunch a levels to keep you busy.

5 Stars Great Choice
Just finished playing through the game… sort of a “sequel” to the lego star wars (same developers), there are some similarities (work through puzzles, find hidden objects, unlock characters by collecting lego studs) but some obvious differences. I would probably pick star wars over this one, simply because the franchise lends itself a little better (can’t do light sabers, laser blasters, and the force with indy!) and there are a couple quibbles -the heavy reliance on hand to hand, a lot without the whip, gets annoying. However, the puzzles are fun, some of those pieces are hard to find, and some of the levels are classic (my favorite is the final grail chapter). The tie-in to the movie is fun - hard to believe that raiders is now over 25 years old. If you like the indy movies and like lego star wars, pick this one up.

3 Stars Meh…It’s okay
This game is okay as far as the Lego series go. The Star Wars Lego series is better, in my opinion. I suppose if you have not played the Star Wars Lego games, this game will be more interesting and new. However, it is pretty much more of the same and gets boring rather quickly.
