As each routine is successfully performed, the player will be able to recruit new team members to their squad, adding new cheerleading abilities and choreographed routines. The first cheerleading video game to offer licensed music, We Cheer features 30 smash-hit master recordings for players to perform to, including tracks from Hilary Duff, Aly & AJ, The Plain White T’s and Natasha Bedingfield. Letting friends and family participate in the cheerleading fun, We Cheer features cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes for up to four players to determine who deserves to stand at the top of the pyramid. The game also features a workout mode that lets players keep track of approximately how many calories they have burned while cheering. Each character in the game is fully customizable, with a variety of uniforms, shoes and accessories to choose from for added personalization.

5 Stars Lots of fun!!
This is a great game for keeping the kids moving. My 10 year old daughter is enjoying it very much. I cant wait to start trying it myself.
5 Stars One of the best Wii games to date!
This game is great because you can set it up for one player and just hand off the wiimotes after each song (if you only have 2 wiimotes). Plus it gives you a little break in between because this game really is a workout. Once you get the hang of it, it’s much easier, but you still get a great arm workout. I know many grown men who love to play this game just as much as I do. I don’t think this game is just for the younger crowd. As a matter of fact, I think it’s easily all ages and even a family game. Very similar to Dance Dance Revolution in that you follow along to the steps, but with your arms. You can plug in the game and play as much or as little one song or for hours. And, somehow changing the outfits is fun too.
This game is a must-have for any Wii owner.
2 Stars not to much fun
I purchesed this game because I heard it was a good workout even if you had never been a cheerleader (or the cheerleader type- which would be me). I tried hard to get it down and use it as a workout, but even on the easy level I couldn’t follow along and couldn’t get a workout. I’ll stick to jogging and my personal trainer game.
4 Stars Dance Dance Revolution for your arms
Once you pop this disk into your Wii, you’ll get a glimpse of your console’s potential to make waving your arms around something FUN. Wii need more games like this!
Dance Dance Revolution involved hitting buttons on the floor (and Rock Band puts those buttons on a guitar or drum set). This game is different in that you trace motions with your arms on the rhythm. As a result, it’s a lot harder — instead of just hitting buttons on the beat, you also have to have some accuracy in tracing the right motions.
It’s very deeply satisfying to move your arms around and hear the crowd cheer, but be prepared for some frustration, both because some of the notations are hard to read (arcing your arm backwards above your head is one of the more difficult to figure out) and also because the Wiimote just isn’t sensitive enough to catch the difference between several of the moves. You’ll lose points in many cases not because you screw up, but because the Wiimote just doesn’t register properly. Or at least, that’s what I think is happening — the game could really use a practice mode that shows you what it thinks you’re doing so you can correct yourself.
But if you’re not a point hog and in it to play, you’ll probably pass most of the songs on easy mode after a few tries. As others have suggested, watch the cheerleaders to catch your cue. Most of the time, if you copy your character, you’ll do OK.
It’d be nice if you were actually controlling one the dancers, so that if you mess up, the dancer also messes up. Otherwise, it feels a bit like you’re just playing along at home.
Similarly, the entire outfit/rewards system was clearly implemented at the last minute and is broken. You get all the outfits right away, so the game wastes a lot of time with “presents” that are things you already have.
Speaking of wasting time, there’s an awful lot of unnecessary clicking to get through various story screens and finally get cheering. This is a problem common to many Wii games, which seem to be over-lawyered with warnings about smashing your lamp or whatever, but it’s particularly bad in this game because of the very uncompelling stories (lame dudes asking you to cheer for them so they can win whatever stupid competition they are engaged with… which isn’t what most cheerleaders do anymore — didn’t the developers watch “Bring it on”?)
(And for video game enthusiasts, you might be interested to know that this game is an Americanized reskin of “Happy Dance Collection,” which was released in Japan).

“This game is really fun, I bought it for my 11 and 6 year old daughters, and I have played it more than they have so far. My husband however is not about to test his manhood out on this game though!! In other words, this game is a “girly” game.”
The game takes FOREVER to play through, and has a lot of re-playability via the Free Play where you can choose whatever characters you want to play with. Seriously, this is the single best PS3 game I’ve bought for my kids and has probably saved me $100 as I haven’t had to buy them another game in the past 3 months. Haha.
