Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories

It’s time to return to Liberty City, the town where all the rules were broken as Grand Theft Auto 3 revolutionized gaming and made the GTA series the biggest franchise on the planet. The PlayStation Portable edition is an all-new game set in the seedy, sprawling underworld of Liberty City. Just when you thought San Andreas was all you needed in your gaming life, Rockstar today announced that it is working on a brand new Grand Theft Auto title for the PSP. As youd expect from the highly secretive Rockstar, little is known about this latest in the GTA series except that it will take place in the streets of Liberty City (from GTA III) and that it is being developed by Rockstar Leeds. What you can be sure of, is that with the power of Sonys sexy new portable behind it, GTA on PSP wont be just a rehash of the 1997 original.

3 Stars Better on a bigger screen
I picked up SA on PC and thought I’d give this a try. The story line is pretty good so far (I’m not that far yet), the controls can be a little ifey. You have to be looking direct at the person your’re trying to lock onto or you’ll miss the guy right in front of your face for the pimp behind him not even looking at you. I do think it would be eaiser to play this game on a bigger screen, but I haven’t tried with my TV yet. All in all it’s defenitly worth a look, it keeps the same intensity as the other GTA titles.

5 Stars AWESOME VIDEOGAME
This game is everything, great story, customizable character, is exactly like the ps2 version, is awesome, great price for a unforgettable game. If you got a PSP you must have this in your collection.

This is a great game. The missions are awesome, the cutscenes are awesome, the gameplay is awesome, everything just… works.

First of all, the controls feel good. You never have to look at the buttons or find the controls, because it is about impossible to forget. It just has that… natural feeling while playing.

The cutscenes are great. They have rich 3d models and textures. The loading times are short, and you can skip the cutscenes too. I hate games where you have to watch every cutscene. Even if you’ve already seen it.

AI is good. When you get a couple of stars, they WILL come after you. Some ‘fake’ grand theft auto games don’t even have a true AI. The FBI and tanks and police and Swat and even men parachute down and climb from ropes to attack you. The FBI and Swat can be very difficult to fight.

Overall this game is great. Buy it now. You will not have ANY regrets. Buy it…. NOWWWWW!!!!!!!! Do it!!!! You are killing yourself by not having it and playing it!!!!!!!!!

PS. PSP RULES!!!!!!!

5 Stars Wow ! what a rushl
Be careful if you drive after playing this game. It may effect how you drive. Intense action and very cool graphics.

5 Stars Grand Theft Auto…Grand Game!
I bought this game to play on my PSP. It is the most awesome game! It has great music, you can be a bad guy and not get caught, and the game has sounds and sights like real life. I have been having so much fun with the game that my kids all want to play it too. My 16 year old son has been allowed to play it, but it’s not really appropriate for younger kids. It has bad language and you can kill people. I highly recommend this game for anyone mature enough for the situations and language. I can’t wait to buy some of the other Grand Theft games.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories

Vice City, 1984. Opportunity abounds in a city emerging from the swamps, its growth fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere as a shining metropolis rises from foundations of crime and betrayal. As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is the highly anticipated portable prequel to the PlayStation 2 blockbuster.

Impressive graphic overhaul
Vice City Stories is a monumental improvement upon the previous Grand Theft Auto title on the PlayStation Portable. For one, the draw distance has nearly doubled so that buildings and features can be seen across town. Character models and cars are as detailed as if they were on the PlayStation 2 and include all of the shine and transparency that looked so great in other Grand Theft Auto titles. Players can even choose the clothing that Vic will wear in Vice City. Overall, Rockstar has substantially increased all visual elements so that you don’t need to make any graphical sacrifices when taking Grand Theft Auto on the road.

Even the city appears as never before- people on the street will notice you and recognize you for the actions you’ve taken on previous missions. Some even comment about actions you’ve taken and give you an idea about how the public feels about your notoriety.

Expanded gameplay
New characters never before seen in Vice City add new twists to the story gamers were introduced to in the PlayStation 2 Vice City title. With a playtime of over 15 hours for the storyline alone, there is certainly plenty to see and hear in and around the city. Choose from various objectives to complete such as doing stunts for a chocolate commercial, chasing a known drug dealer to swipe his loot, and patrolling your neighborhood for specific thugs. Knock down objectives and get swept up in the plot or sit back and explore the big city- the choice is yours!

The hallmark style of “sandbox” gameplay is ever present and players can (forcefully) take control of nearly any vehicle they see and roam the streets in search of interesting characters and opportunities. In addition to cars, busses, bikes, and trucks, you can now cruise the waterways of Vice City in a large number of water craft! Jet-skis, motorboats, and even fishing vessels are there for the taking whether you’re tracking the bad guy or just killing time. If you need even more mobility, consider one of the many arial options such as helicopters- helpful for taking out enemies from afar.

4 Stars GTA PSP
First time playing PSP version of GTA. Graphics are awesome for a small handheld machine… and the special effects are better than my PC version! Controls will take some time to get used to… and the missions seem to be pretty simple overall… hopefully it gets better with time.

5 Stars Great but a step down in some ways
Of course this is a GTA game, so it’s amazing compared to regular fare, but in many ways the series took a step backward here. Car handling can be crazy, the setting “borrows” so much from Scarface I’m surprised they weren’t sued, and the character is annoying — especially when he breaks the fourth wall and talks to you. But the bones of the game — killing, mayhem, crime — are all as strong as ever.

3 Stars Loading Terror!!!
First GTA to play and own. The graphics are good and there’s plenty of missions to accomplish. However there are TWO major draw-backs.

The loading time. Each time you exit a building, the screen loads. A cutscene? Loading. How about a mission? That has to load too. This is one of the major draw-backs of vice city and since you will be doing MANY missions, the loading time added up all together can be pretty wasteful. Something that just shouldn’t be on a psp.

Another nuisance is the camera-angle. Vice City’s camera control is funny. If you want to use it you’ll have to awkwardly stretch a finger to press down on that L-button which can be tedious especially in the middle of a mission or being chased by the cops. Secondly the camera angle depends on the joystick(which you also have to use for running around), so if you driving in a car you can accidentally shift the camera upwards when you don’t want to!!! It can feel uncomfortable and weird trying to hold the L-button and rotate the joystick at the same time.

This is fun to play but the loading and camera issue is a nuisance.

5 Stars My son loves this game!
My 17-yr-old loves this game. He has had Grand Theft Auto on different systems, but says that this is at least as good as all of the others! He is impressed with the graphics and the audio. He received several PSP games for Christmas but has spent the most time playing with this one. He is thoroughly enjoying this game on his PSP 3, and that makes it a great purchase! I would definitely recommend it!

4 Stars I like it
I play this game all the time, I really like the action. I can play it for hours at a time. I had to get my grandpa to order it for me since I don’t have a credit card.
