Microsoft Habu Laser Gaming Mouse Black

What happens when Microsoft Hardware joins forces with gaming peripherals innovator Razer? They give birth to an incredible advancement in gaming control: The Microsoft Habu Laser Gaming Mouse. This mouse is jam-packed with features that will give gamers a performance edge.

Habu blends high performance with a snappy design.
View it from all angles.

Every hand is different, as is every gamers’ button preference. The Habu is built for just about anyone with interchangeable side button panels that provide gamers with two options for different hand sizes or comfort preferences. The mouse delivers super-fast response time with a huge 2,000 DPI laser engine that is powered by Razer Precision, and a 16-bit data path with enhanced bandwidth to support high resolution tracking performance. With the Habu, your control will be snappier and more precise, so you’ll have a leg-up on the competition when playing online first-person shooters and other fast-paced games. This mouse is also designed with on-the-fly DPI that lets players adjust DPI for control sensitivity. Set the mouse from 400, 800, 1600, to 2000 DPI with toggle buttons and take your customization to another level.

Always-On mode was pioneered by Razer, and this advanced technology is built into the Habu. This mode gives gamers virtually no latency. And with high-speed motion detection, this mouse lets gamers get their speed-on with movement of up to 45 inches per second and 20G acceleration. The Habu features seven programmable buttons with Hyperesponse that allows gamers to program their button functions and caters to their favorite button layout from game-to-game.

A mouse this advanced wouldn’t be complete without a snappy design. The custom-looking Habu features GlowPipe side rails and large, ultra-slick Teflon buttons that provide smooth and quiet gliding. The mouse also features an ergonomic design that is built for right-handed comfort with a slip-resistant grip, and rubber-coated buttons for improved comfort during those long hours of arduous gaming. Lastly, the mouse features a thin, flexible wire that provides gamers with the speed of a wired mouse, but the feel of a wireless device.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Best mouse I have ever used
Recently bought the Habu gaming mouse and i must say I am not dissapointed. The tracking is the smoothest I have ever experienced and the sensitivity is adjustable, so you can be pin point accurate on your game. I highly recommend picking this up.

4 Stars Good Mouse - Long Term Review
The Habu mouse is a very slick looking, and comfortable feeling mouse to use. I bought it as part of a set, along with the Reclusa Keyboard and the two looked well together.

I didn’t have any of the firmware issues mentioned by other reviewers, thanks to research I made on the product before I bought it. Overall, I would’ve given the Habu 5 stars since I was very happy with it, however after a little over a year it died unexpectedly. One day without reason, in the middle of use its lights flashed on and off, and I would get the sound of a USB device unplugging then replugging. Over the course of 3 days I tried different USB ports, reinstalling the software and firmware but none was successful in getting the mouse back to normal.

All in all a good mouse, I could use it for long periods of time without discomfort, and the response time and handling characteristics were great. The suddenness of it failing on me without warning is somewhat disconcerting, but I don’t think that’s enough to really give it a bad score.

Pros

-Comfortable.

-Adjustable dpi on the fly.

-Teflon pads allow quick smooth movements.

-Decorative lighting can be turned on/off.

Cons

-Clicking of LMB and RMB kind of loud.

-Possible firmware installation issues.

-Possible durability issues.

5 Stars Habu Gaming Mouse
One of the best designs to date. Recommended. I am an MMORPG gamer and love this Microsoft mouse.

5 Stars Smooth Mouse!
Item received promptly and in new condition. Mouse is smooth and precise. Never noticed how crappy standard mouse could be. Great buy!

2 Stars Nice mouse, but inconsistent
Our company purchased 5 of these mice last year. The new mice worked great, and had everything that I (as a moderate gamer) would want: 7 buttons, on-the-fly dpi adjustment, good surface responsiveness, and smooth motion. However, after about 6 months, two of the mice started having issues with the buttons:

-the first mouse occasionally issues two clicks when the left button is depressed once; this doesn’t sound bad, but this is a big problem both when gaming and when doing simple things like attempting to rename files (the files launch instead).

-the second mouse’s wheel doesn’t work correctly when scrolling, as it will often throw in an opposite-direction scroll at random times. In addition, after 12 months’ time this mouse’s right-click now has erratic behavior.

The other three mice aren’t used as much, so I’m not sure if they are having issues or not.

In short, the working mice function well, but a failure rate of 40% (2 out of 5) is unacceptable, and as a result we will not be purchasing any more of these mice.

Sega Saturn System Video Game Console

May 16th, 2009

Sega Saturn System Video Game Console

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars My opinion
The game system seems to work fine, but the large paddle controller barely works at all. The small controller seems to work much better. My level of satisfaction is just so-so. Based on the sellers statement that all parts were tested and worked well, which is clearly untrue, I would not purchase from that entity again, and recommend against him/her.

5 Stars Xmas 2007 for daughter who grew up on Saturn Sys
Product came in as ordered, was exactlly what was listed, down to the 10 plus games included. This antique may be worth more now than I paid. Thanks, for enabling me to keep a promise, Carl

5 Stars Sega Saturn is Great
A lot of this console’s value is in nastalgia, but it certainly earns a high place in console history. With awesome titles like NiGHTS, Virtua Fighter 2, Panzer Dragoon, Bug, Clockwork Knight, and much more, you should find some of the funnest 32 bit games ever made. The games often didn’t have an incredibly high budget but they have a lot of heart, especially those made by Sega. I’d totally check one out. Prices are rising pretty quick on the product so I wouldn’t wait long.

5 Stars my awsome review
this system is spectaular alot of people think its 32 bit but what do they this console is 64 to the bone it may have a short live span but what does that say alot of consoles had short life spans and made it okay its time to list the famous awsome games for saturn

christmas NIGHTS

duke nukem 3d

sonic jam

NIGHTS to dreams

area 51

alone in the dark

clockwork night

doom

the house of the dead

and many others!!!!!

5 Stars Just what I wanted
The Saturn is a system I had desired to have a big majority of my life. At 25 I finally purchased one. But, I got to say out of the games I have the ones I enjoy the most are 1. World Series Baseball 2 2. Pandemonium

3. Astal 4. Fighters Megamix 5. Virtua Cop 6. Panzer Dragoon. All in all I consider myself a gamer through and through. I have had the orignal Atari, NES, SNES, Gameboy, N64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Wii, XBOX, Genesis,GBA and now a Saturn. My Saturn is probably second only on my preference list to the ps2. If you still do not mind playing older consoles in 2009 like me this is a great system to have. A lot of people say the Saturn did not have any good or great games but thats untrue. In the video game business you just gotta research a game , make a decision and most importantly know what you are buying when you make the purchase otherwise you end up with games you hate.

Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat Black with Silver

May 16th, 2009

Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat Black with Silver

With its completely renewed design and double-stitched vinyl cover, the black Playseats Evolution gaming seat puts you smack dab in the middle of your favorite racing game. The seat works with almost all racing peripherals on the market and every game console, including the Xbox 360, GameCube, PlayStation2, PCs, and more. More importantly, the chair is notably comfortable while delivering the most realistic racing simulation around.

Details include a reinforced steel tubular construction that adds stability and eliminates excess wobble, a non-flammable seat material, and an easy-to-assemble design. Just install a game steering wheel, such as the latest Logitech model, on the middle pole and attach a couple of pedals along the bottom (all sold separately). The setup is also easily adaptable, with multiple adjustment knobs letting you move the wheel and pedals closer or farther, depending on your height. Appropriate for ages 8 and older, the Evolution seat is the perfect accessory for gamers who want to boost their lap times in style.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Love my Playseat
I bought the seat and the xbox 360 wireless wheel. Make sure you purchase the bracket to firmly seat your whell to the playseat. Everything works and I can’t stop racing now, Im officially addicted.

5 Stars Flight Simulator Modification
I was looking at seats to construct a home flight simulator. After looking at cost of seats alone, my wife recommended that I look at gaming seats. An Amazon search found the Playseat Evolution…excellent idea.

The seat works great with the Playseats Gearshift Holder Mount on the left side to hold the throttle and the center post for the control stick. Flight controls are the Thrustmaster Hotas also here on Amazon. When I get rudder pedals, they will sit perfectly on the metal foot rest.

I plan to purchase the seat slider and an additional gear shift mount for a keypad on the right side. Recommend purchasing any accessories with the chair since the chair needs to be disassembled to install the additional equipment.

The chair system is designed for car controls but the kit came with zip ties and self-adhesive Velcro so modifying it for flight controls was very easy and with no additional cost since all hardware was provided.

Just look at the cost of other home flight simulators and this is the way to go. You can order all the parts from Amazon. Sign up for Amazon Prime and get them in two days.

Great product.

5 Stars Never more (..will you use a foldable table)
The Playseats Evolution is the perfect companion for a racing wheel. If you’re fan of racing games (and don’t merely play them for fun, like any other game) and if you own a wheel, don’t hesitate in buying this. Once you try one of these, you won’t go back to clamping your wheel on a desk, or using a foldable table, or any other thing like that.

First of all, the seat is very comfortable. You’ll find yourself racing for hours without your back aching or finding yourself in weird positions. Also, the seat folds, for storage, although it still uses some considerable space (that being said, it is highly recommendable that you have a dedicated gaming room, or at least you have decent space on your room).

The build quality is exceptional. At first glance, you might think that it will not be the most stable gaming seat available, giving that you have to put it together piece by piece. However, you’ll find that the entire thing is quite sturdy and stable. Moreover, when you’re in the middle of a race, you won’t notice any wobble at all. Also, it is notable that every piece fits perfectly. I didn’t have any trouble assembling the seat, not even one screw presented any trouble at all. Once completely assembled, you’ll see that the seat sits perfectly still on it’s base, the pedal platform is really sturdy, and the arm where you mount the wheel presents minimum wobble.

The design is fantastic. The seat, based on actual bucket seats, immediately invites you to sit on it and hit the gas. The metal parts have a nice color finish, and they fit perfectly into the overall design. The seat is covered with white or black high-quality vinyl, with touches of black on the “shoulders” and “head” of the seat. Overall, as stated before, the seat is very comfortable, very well cushioned, and has a great design.

Playseats gave a really appealing design to the Evolution, but that doesn’t mean that it compromised it’s functionality. The distance of the pedal plate to the seat is adjustable, and it will fit tall people without any problem (I’m 5′11″, like to play with the pedals as far away from me as possible, and the thing could expand way more than that). Now, the angle of the pedal plate is not adjustable; however, the angle given is very comfortable and I have no complains about it. Now, the wheel mount is adjustable both in separation from the seat, height and angle of the wheel (the wheel angle is adjustable by some mechanism that I don’t fully understand yet, but it gives you some 3 or 4 possible angles to fit your needs). One thing here: To avoid having to adjust the separation of the pedals and wheel everytime someone new tries your seat, I’d recommend the slider kit (Also sold here on Amazon).

It is important to say that the wheel mount, as well as the pedal plate, have pre-drilled holes that fit the Logitech G25 wheel (There is also a gear-shift mount sold separately), so it is ideal if you have it. However, if you own an Xbox 360 wheel, I highly recommend that you buy the mounting brackets (also sold here on Amazon) to fit the 360 wheel. This is necessary because the platform where the wheel is mounted is very thin, and the clamp on the wheel won’t be enough. There are several people (myself included) that have built home-made solutions to avoid spending 30 bucks on those brackets (Like drilling a wood board to the platform and then clamping the wheel), but I’ve found that the clamping mechanism of the Xbox 360 wheel is not _that_ reliable (if you are one of those that “feel” the game, you’ll find yourself holding the wheel completely separated from the platform from time to time), so I recommend that you buy the brackets along with the seat, if that’s your case.

My only complain on this thing is that they should sell it with the slider kit and xbox 360 mounting brackets included (even if it costed a bit more), because you’ll find that they’re quite useful. However, I understand that some people don’t need them at all (and instead maybe need the gear shift mount), so it’s logical that they sell all those extras separately.

All in all, the Playseats Evolution is a fantastic big-boy’s toy. The quatliy, design and functionality that it delivers make it a great investment. Seriously, this seat is some of the best spending I’ve done in a while. Once you receive yours, you won’t regret at all. Heck, I even thought first that this thing would have a huge girlfriend disapproval factor, but actually she likes it a lot.

5 Stars Great Racing Seat for the Price!
Yes the price was a little expensive at first glance, but in the end it was worth it. A must for racing games! I searched many racing seats before I decided to buy this one and I’m happy with Evo seat. I use the Logitech G25 wheel and the whole setup is awesome. The contruction of the seat is durable enough for my standards and I fit nicely in it (i’m 5′10″ 175lbs). It’s contructed with a strong metal and is sturdy. The chair also fits most adults and middle-aged children(get the slider kit for the seat because it makes easier to get in and out of; sold separately.). Since I have the G25 wheel I needed the sold-separatley shiftermount also. Putting it together was relatively easy, but did require actually looking at the instructions! My only issues is that the slider kit should be standard (not sold-separately) and included in the package deal. Also, it would nice if the design could include a mount for flight games. It’s a great looking cockpit for either a racer or pilot! This a great seat!

5 Stars This chair is awesome! Worth the money!
This chair is awesome! Took about 20 minutes to setup. Not a bad process. The manual could of been clearer on the instructions.

Once setup I mounted my XBOX steering wheel to it and turned on GRID for the XBOX 360. It takes about 30-60 minutes to really get good with the wheel, but once you do its hard to get out of the chair! Its the only game I have played since getting the chair. I dont want to play anything else. Its like having an arcade in your living room! If your on edge to buy this thing and have a XBOX 360, GRID and some money…I would definitely pick it up! You wont regret it. I like that it folds up for easy storage too so my Girlfriend doesnt have to look at it!

Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit

May 15th, 2009

Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit

With the Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit, you ensure that the XBox gaming will last you much longer. This special kit will keep your wireless controller’s batteries from running down while you play. Includes rechargeable battery pack and charging cable.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works great. Saved me from buying a new controller.
I bought this because my wireless controller was not connecting. My controller works fine plugged into the kit. This was cheaper than buying a new controller and I can charge batteries with it.

5 Stars So useful
So much easier than changing batteries every few days! I don’t game a whole lot [yet] but the charge and play kits are just super convenient. They’re not expensive and will save you a ton on batteries. A+

1 Star Overpriced and a Waste of Money
Like all Xbox 360 accessories, the Play & Charge Kit is over priced. I have never been unsatified with a video game accessory until I bought this piece of garbage. It works fine the first few times I used it. Except for the fact that it took more than 6 hours to charge. Then it broke. The light would constantly stay green saying the battery is charge even when I just plugged it in. My controller wouldn’t work unless it was plugged in using the play & charge kit. Rather than buying this, buy the Quick Charge Kit which is only 10 dollars more and very reliable.

1 Star Weak battery, use USBCell instead
My XBox rechargeable packs always seemed to run out of charge in a few hours when playing. Also, within 6 months to a year they would hold no charge at all, making them useless. The charging cord was a pain, too.

I found USBCell rechargeable AA batteries that fit in the XBox controller AA battery pack. 2 USB AA batteries are cheaper than the Play and charge kit; you can play for days rather than hours before they run out of charge, and they don’t wear out in 6 months. They charge in a few hours in any USB port. I would recommend the USBCells instead.

4 Stars Lifesaver
Ever get to that last moment where you’ve got the boss right where youwant them? Then boom you get the controller disconnected message. Well this made so I didn’t have to scramble for batteries. It’ll charge while you play.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars works great 2 minor (and i do mean minor) grips
Its the best PS2 wireless controller ive used. The feel is great. response is great. The buttons work great. The vibration functions works great. I just have 2 minor gripes. The analog buttons are a tad bit too sensitive. Now that really only effects 2 games in the PS2 library greatly. Metal gear solid 1 and 3. MGS2 works fine 90% of the time, but MGS 3, its near impossible to quietly put away your gun without firing. Even though I slowly release the square button, it still fires your gun 80% of the time. It’s real simple on an official Ps2 dualshock. People that have played both games know what I’m talking about.

second gripe is the D-pad. Works fine, just isn’t that great.

So if you have desire to play either metal gear game, this controller is the best one out there.

5 Stars great
it works great. if you hate cords as much as i do then buy this controller and you will love it. picks up over 20′ in my living room. never uses batteries.

5 Stars Excellent controller!!!
This is a unique creation, its fast response and low battery usage even when vibration is activated makes you feel really into the game… Pretty comfortable grip and design…

5 Stars Awesome!
I recently purchased a PS3 that is not backwards compatible with PS2 games. I hooked it up in my living room and moved the old PS2 into my bedroom hooked up to a smaller T.V. Unfortunately, I was still stuck with the wired controller which made for uncomfortable sitting positions to make sure it would reach. I saw the other positive reviews on this controller and the rebate that was offered in February, so I picked it up to see how it would work. I can’t be more impressed. I have played a number of games since I received it and have noticed absolutely no lag. Battery life seems reasonable so far, so there are no complaints. If you need a wireless controller for a good price I highly recommend you check this one out.

4 Stars Good Controller
All in all, a very good controller. My only minor issue is the D-Pad is quite a bit louder than he PS2 issued controller, but performance-wise, it is excellent.
