3 Stars Not bad for the price
I have two reservations about this game: the controls and the aesthetics. The controls can be frustratingly inaccurate at times, and certainly do not use the Wiimote to its full capacity. As far as the visuals go, most games take place in either a murky arcade or in a murky college rental. Horseshoes and lawn darts take you out to the back yard–the most appealing setting–but are unfortunately among the weakest games. That said, my four year old likes these games, as will most younger children, I believe. Plus, it’s a bargain–no small thing these days.
1 Star Great Graphics (in 1978!)
Please save your Money! If you recieved “Wii Sports” with your game console, (and it was free) and you are used to a decent bunch of fun games with good player interaction and good graphics, then turn and run away from this Game Party II product. It has horrible crummy controls and the graphics are embarrassing for 1978, oh yea, that was thirty years ago!
2 Stars Great concept, not the best execution
I bought this game for my husband who is wild about all these games in “real life”. He found them to be frustrating. The aim is off on the darts game and other times the controls seem to be a bit erratic. I was disappointed that it didn’t work as well as we expected, especially given what we’ve seen the wii system is capable of. Maybe a later iteration with the controls refined will satisfy us - I was hoping this version would have already have taken care of that.
2 Stars Not as great as it sounds
My husband and I were very excited when we bought our wii, but quickly learned that we needed something else to play besides the wii sports. We like to have family and friends over and thought this would be great since it’s a “party” game. However, this game is not as good as it looks. The characters are pretty cheesey and there isn’t a lot of skill involved in any of the games. Overall, this is a game where I think I’d save my money!
3 Stars Game Party 2
The DVD consists of six or seven games. I found 2 or 3 of them worthwhile, the others not very interesting.
